links dont work anymore

Old posts pointing to other discussions (to help users better understand something) do not point to the correct html anymore.

example:
Within a discussion someone will post this link so the user can follow another discussion thread opened by someone else with the same problem (and presumable a fix is found there):
http://kubuntuforums.net/index.php?topic=1857.0
It wont work anymore because the correct link is this:
http://kubuntuforums.net/forums/index.php?topic=1857.0

the incorrect link will drop the user at the home page
http://kubuntuforums.net/

It might be discouraging to newbies

I am not sure if there is a way to fix that, except by hand. We might just have to edit the post everytime we find one. The reason the links changed is because the new software pushes everything up one directory.

I can't figure out how to format it to load. I think it's a "why does this forum exist thread". If that's not it. Could someone point me to the right link? I tried different search terms and couldn't find it.
