    Adept, details, accept licence

I'm installing Sun Java using Adept. Midway through the installation, I click on the details button and see an ASCII prompt that asks me to choose 'OK' to accept Sun licence and proceed with the Java installation. Unfortunately, I am having trouble doing this and hope that someone can tell me what I must do to accept the licence?

    Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately, you have to use the command line to install Java. Close Adept and run this command in Konsole (since Adept was closed without finishing):

    Code:
    sudo dpkg --configure -a
    Jucato's Data Core

Alright, thanks. I still have the Adept window open, but I'll just use the command line now.

        Hi. I'm a Kubuntu 6.10 user.
It happened the same to me but when I type "sudo dpkg --configure -a" it says something like "the status database is being locked by some other process"

What should I do to install Java 5?

        Thanks

Adept and dpkg both use the same files. If one is open the other cannot be used. Ensure all processes using dpkg and/or adept are closed.
