I believe these are all refering to the same thing but i have no idea what it is. No one directly addresses it in the forums i have found so well... What is it?

Konsole is simply a KDE based terminal (same as console). Think of it as a dos-prompt box, but it is much much more than that. It is basically a "window" into the heart of your OS, just without the UI. These days terminals don't need to be used much but for some things it is easier and quicker to use simple commands, and you get better information if there is a problem running a gui app from a terminal as well.
