[Settings] Setting up and editing my new profile

Have been viewing the forum on how to update my profile, setting my signature, etc... When trying to access my profile to do such editing, a splash screen pops-up and reads you do not have permission. Have activated the account through my email. I do have all the information including the activation code and what ever. What to do? New to the forum.

Edit: The only relevant may be this that is included on that splash screen. "Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page." [quoted] DK?

I think you will need more posts before some options are enabled. I would figuren that the error message would indicate this, but maybe it does not do so anymore.
