[Graphics] Question; Upgrading from Nvidia to AMD GPU

Hello there, first time poster. I've been using Kubuntu with for about six months now and it's been stellar. I'm getting ready to upgrade from a GTX 1080 to a Radeon 7900 XTX. I'm currently using Nvidia's proprietary drivers, but are there any extra steps I should take before installing the new GPU?

nope, just swap the GPU and the OS should just detect it and apply the AMD drivers... note: at this time that GPU is VERY new and cutting edge, so be sure your motherboard firmware is up to date and you may want to check to make sure your kernel version supports it.
