Hey all. Steam crashes/fails to load if opened from the taskbar. Additionally, if just opened by searching "Steam" into the search bar it crashes. However, if searching and clicking on "steam.desktop" it opens perfectly fine. I am wondering if the steam shortcut is opening the wrong thing. Any help would be appreciated.

Do you have screenshots? What version are you running? Open discover and search for steam and show the screenshot (you may have to scroll down). It may be that you would have to do a rip and reinstall if you need to fix this, but if you are able to open and run steam, then you may wait to see if this problem gets worse. Those are the options I see.
