I need help getting my internal SD reader to mount my sd card

I'm sorry to ask this, for the last 3 days I'm been trying to get my SD internal reader on my Lenovo Y700 to mount my sd card. It works on windows really well but however on Kubuntu or ubuntu not at all. I'm tried googling the drivers however I get the same link to this site which by the way doesn't give me anyway clue to install it or some 4 page instruction read I don't have the time for. Can anyone here please give me a very simple guide to follow to install the right drivers for internal sd reader?

looks like a driver is loaded for it ,,and the system sees it .

          what ver. of Kubuntu ?

and do you have the device notifier in the system tray ?

if you put in a sd card and open dolphin do you see it in the "places" pane ,,,,,with the other drives?

                    Any relevant info in dmesg? You should see a list of messages at insert. If you're not familiar;

With the card out of the machine, open a terminal
                    Type dmesg
Note the end of the output
                    Insert the card
                    Type dmesg again
Post any new lines that appear

You should see at least something like:

                    Code:
                    [161512.206774] sd 6:0:0:2: [sdd] 7835648 512-byte logical blocks: (4.01 GB/3.73 GiB)

With the card out of the machine, open a terminal
                        Type dmesg
Note the end of the output
                        Insert the card
                        Type dmesg again
Post any new lines that appear

You should see at least something like:

                        Code:
                        [161512.206774] sd 6:0:0:2: [sdd] 7835648 512-byte logical blocks: (4.01 GB/3.73 GiB)

I don't see any of that.

try this ,,,,,,,,,, at the grub menu befor trying to boot ,,,,but with the top line highlighted ,,,,press "e" to eddit the boot line ,,,,navagate the curser "_" to a space right after "quiet splash" in the "linux" line .

type in this "sdhci.debug_quirks2=0x4" then press "ctrl+x" ,,,,,,,,after your booted try the card .

their seams to be a regression in the newer kernels that brakes your card reader .

if this works we can make it permanent ,,,doing it this way is a one time test.
