    Taskbar Minimized Apps Question

Greetings all. If an app is open, the app "indicator" in the taskbar has easy to see dark text. If the app is minimized, the same text is nearly transparent and difficult to read at a glance. Thought I found the fix but it was for the associated icon. Anyone having knowledge of darkening the text please feel free to join in. Everyone welcome regardless. Thanks.

Ya'll are rubbing off on me. Found it. If anyone needs the solution: System Settings>Desktop Effects>Advanced>General Options>keep window thumbnails>Always (Breaks minimization)>Apply

If you desire to colorize the associated icon, here you go. http://askubuntu.com/questions/26124...lack-and-white

I'm glad you are discovering how configurable Kubuntu is. It's one of the things I really love about KDE ... if you don't like the look of something or just get bored with it you can change just about every aspect of the desktop to your liking.

One of the first things I do when I install Kubuntu is to replace the default task manager with the Icon Only Task Manager which I prefer. Then there is always the Cairo Dock which makes it look more like an Apple PC. I still prefer IOTM over the dock though.

      Happy customizing!

Thanks Rod. I'm getting there. One more major task of which not much headway. When I close the lid on my notebook for an undetermined amount of time, I get a popup telling me I have wifi connection. Hate it. In power savings I have something along the lines of don't do anything when I close the lid. Looked in network stuff, etc. Nothing. Anyhow, thanks for the welcome and I greatly appreciate your help in getting kubuntu installed.

Wobbly windows for the win - with maximum wobble. It shouldn't have any effect on work flow but some how it does.
          If you're sitting wondering,
          Which Batman is the best,
There's only one true answer my friend,
          It's Adam Bloody West!

It's another desktop effect that makes you windows wobble when you move them. Use it for a while and then going to a PC without them feels really weird. You can find it under desktop effects.
