Install firefox?

Hey I'm converting from Microsoft, and I have really no idea how any of this stuff works. My first question is how do you install stuff? I was trying to install firefox and it asked 'save as' or 'open with ark' so first I saved as, but after it saved I could not find the installer. How do you install it?? Can you??

Paste this command into the Konsole:

sudo aptitude update && sudo aptitude install firefox

Now it's installed.
