Welcome to the Kubuntu Forums !

    Useful information https://www.kubuntuforums.net/showth...W-GUY-lt-lt-lt

    - Your KDE version
    - How did you pick the language ?
    - ...

    At here:

KDE 4.13.2 with the Kubuntu desktop metapackage.
The installation language and the system language is the American English.

Installing the Russia from the KDE System settings and removing the other languages. Restarting the KDE System Settings and the Dolphin.

    All translatable strings are translated...

Sometimes - Some languages are more dominant: https://www.kubuntuforums.net/showth...l=1#post330461

      Hi there,
thanks for the fast reaction, have been slightly busy,
I installed Netrunner 14, fully updated, in English.
Then created another user and logged in with the user to add Russian, after adding noticed that its not fully translated.
(i dont mind the documents and downloads directories) Its the menus that are actually the question.
When i added Russian and Dutch to the languages. And set Russian as the primary. And saw that it wasnt correctly translating everything. I removed other two (Dutch and English) languages. And left Russian there. Rebooted, still same.
      cat /etc/lsb-release | grep DISTRIB_RELEASE=
      DISTRIB_RELEASE=14
      KDE Platform Version 4.13.2
apt-cache show grub | grep ersion
      Version: 0.97-29ubuntu66
Description-en: GRand Unified Bootloader (Legacy version)

If it matters. Its a 64bit version. Installed on a MacMini 2.1

At here the Russian language installation installed packages:

        firefox-locale-ru
        hunspell-ru
        hyphen-ru
        kde-l10n-ru
        libreoffice-l10n-ru
        libreoffice-help-ru
        mythes-ru
        language-pack-ru
        language-pack-ru-base
        language-pack-gnome-ru
        language-pack-gnome-ru-base

        The kde-l10n-ru has:

        :~$ apt-cache show kde-l10n-ru
        ...
Description: Russian (ru) localization for KDE
This package contains the translation files for all KDE core applications for
        the language "Russian".
        ...
        Homepage: http://l10n.kde.org/team-infos.php?teamcode=ru
You could try to clean the package cache and re-install the kde-l10n-ru.

        man apt-get:
        clean
clean clears out the local repository of retrieved package files.

        --reinstall
Re-install packages that are already installed and at the newest version.

        =>

        Code:
        sudo apt-get clean
        sudo apt-get update
        sudo apt-get install --reinstall kde-l10n-ru
