Firewall KControl Module for Kubuntu 14.04?

    Hello all,

I am running Kubuntu 14.04 and am looking for a KControl Module for the firewall (ufw). I have found the below but it hasn't been updated in 2 years and the last update seems to be for Kubuntu 12.04.

Will this work on Kubuntu 14.04 or is there something else I should use? RIght now I've been using gufw which does the trick but doesn't asthetically go with the rest of KDE and ideally I want to keep all configuration stuff in System Settings.

This is great - thank you for telling me. I like that it's in the repositories so I don't have to worry about manually updating it. Why isn't this a standard part of Kubuntu? I would think most Linux users would be interested in their firewall, or at least an easy way of turning it on and off.

It seems that the Kubuntu devs were looking the ufw guis and the available gui was packed and then postponed to the 14.10:

I would think most users are behind a router that does NAT, and so have no use for a firewall. Maybe laptop users who use public wi-fi should think about it, I suppose...
