No notifications option in System settings

Hi I was going thru these steps, http://muhdzamri.blogspot.ae/2009/12...tup-sound.html to change the startup sound in kde as I wasn't getting any sound on login when I noticed that I don't get any option for "Notifications" in System settings. I am using KDE Platform Version 4.8.5 (4.8.5) with low fat settings. How do I resolve this?

    Thanks

AskUbuntu / How to launch Configure Kde control module by command line? : http://askubuntu.com/questions/15349...y-command-line

    :~$ kcmshell4 --help
    ...
    kcmnotify - System Notification Configuration
    ...

The 'System Notification Configuration' launch command is:
    Code:
    kcmshell4 kcmnotify

If you launch the 'System Notification Configuration' from the commandline (konsole/terminal). Do you get the config screen or do you get an error message ?

That post is from 2009. Hardly relevant, but good to see you got it sorted out.
