How do I open AMD Catalyst Control Center in super-user mode?

I have tried to do so using the command line. I have tried to do so using Alt +F2. Neither seem to work.

I purchased a new second monitor and only the older monitor is recognized. Both monitors provide the same abilities with the exception of my ViewSonic 27" has a 1ms and my Asus 24" has 2ms. Otherwise they are the same including 1920 x 1080.

I am unable to get the ASUS 24" recognized.

I have updated my Video Drivers and attempted to update my motherboard chipset drivers, but I am not sure whether I got the chipset drivers updated.

I also have Windows 7 Professional 64 bit installed as a dual-boot with Kubuntu 13.10 64 bit. I have the same problem getting the monitor to be recognized there either.

The two driver updates were recommended by ASUS. bit as you saw, I am not confident of the updating of the chipset drivers, it was a different process than I am accustomed. Can and will anyone help me? Thanx.

Thanks, I was able to open in superuser mode, however the following images show what I get as options. Notice that Xinerama is greyed out and dowsn't allow changes. Also, my primary monitor is not identified. When I tried to add the images, it either did not permit the image, or I did something wrong. In any event, under certain instances, I can get my primary monitor recognized, but in any instance that may allow configuring two monitors, only my new monitor shows in the options. I am dual-boot with Win7, and when I open Win7, both screens are recognized, and I am able to drag and drop from one screen to the other.

Opening in superuser mode did not seem to help. Do you have any additional help? Thanks!

you should be able to get multi monitor out of the regular resolution setting part of the control panel for the amd driver. not sure why it won't see your monitor. Xinerama i don't think is used anymore ? so greyed out is normal
