I have tried to do so using the command line. I have tried to do so using Alt +F2. Neither seem to work.
I purchased a new second monitor and only the older monitor is recognized. Both monitors provide the same abilities with the exception of my ViewSonic 27" has a 1ms and my Asus 24" has 2ms. Otherwise they are the same including 1920 x 1080.
I am unable to get the ASUS 24" recognized.
I have updated my Video Drivers and attempted to update my motherboard chipset drivers, but I am not sure whether I got the chipset drivers updated.
I also have Windows 7 Professional 64 bit installed as a dual-boot with Kubuntu 13.10 64 bit. I have the same problem getting the monitor to be recognized there either.
The two driver updates were recommended by ASUS. bit as you saw, I am not confident of the updating of the chipset drivers, it was a different process than I am accustomed. Can and will anyone help me? Thanx.
