    Many Linux versions

    Hi,
on my computer I found many Linux versions as there are: Linux 3.5.0-26, 3.8.0-13/14/15/16/17 and 18. I would like to deinstall all version exept the newest on (Linux 3.8.0.-18). How can I do that? Since the version 18 came in an update mmy computer does not turn off anymore in a usual shot down. I guess the versions interfere.
    Regards, Sigurd

If you do a "sudo apt-get autoremove" in a terminal, that should get rid of your old kernels.

A great GUI way to manage Linux kernels, and lots of other goodies, is to install the package kde-config-grub2. Once installed, you'll find it in KDE's System Settings
