where is the Install Path/ program directory for a printer?

In kubuntu1210, using LibreOffice...i went to print a page & no printer.

I click on help for Printing and get this message (partial shown here)....

"Adding a Printer
1. Change to the {install_path}/program directory.
2. Enter: ./spadmin
3. Click the New Printer button."

How do i find the install path/program directory??

My printer is on a home network. If that makes any difference.

I don't know where that "help" came from. Is your printer available to other programs? Does it show up in System Settings > Printers?
