    Core Duo in 6.06

I have 6.06 installed successfully with the new ATI drivers (still having a few issues with that) on my Inspiron 6400. I have a Centrino Core Duo T2050 processor and want to know how to get it to work at full potential.

    Thanks,

    Traigo

Install the dual core/smp kernel. Look for a kernal with SMP.

I think you'll find it best to get the kernel first, THEN fix your video card up.

When type cat /proc/cpuinfo you should see processor 0 and processor 1, and then you'll know you have both cores working.

It works good on a dual core lappy, so good luck

Thanks, I got 686-smp installed and I added the kicker applet that shows both processor cores being utilized.
