    Set Desktop image in 11.10

I am a migrant away from Unity and I've done a clean instal of Kubuntu 11.10 on an old Dell laptop (Inspiron 6400).
I want to instal an image for the desktop background and the forum posts I have found refer to modules in System Settings which are different to what is actually there (even the KDE help system does not seem to be up-to-date). Can anyone help.

Right click the desktop. Pick the "Desktop Settings" or press: Alt+D and Alt+S.

Thank you - I found it later on.
I am still threshing around trying to understand Plasma. Having been brought up on Windows with 1 desktop, with just files or shortcuts on it, the terminology is a bit opaque.
