Kpackage kit won't work

Today when I ran the updates in kpackagekit all the files downloaded but during the installation process it froze at 72%, eventually I had no choice but to stop the updates and reboot my comp. Afterward I tried to run the updates again but only got a "sorry" message and instructions to manually run the update. So I opened the terminal, followed the instructions and it seemed to work nicely, however now when I try to check for new updates in Kpackagekit I still get a "sorry" message, however with no instructions on what to do.

PLease allow me to amend this, when I click on details it says "E: error http://ppa.launchpad.net natty/main sources 404 not found"

Translation: "I can't find the web site". It's not a kpackagekit problem -- could be the web site is down, could be a problem with DNS, etc. etc.

no such archive ........remove it from your source list.

why was it added.......this is the second post of this error with this nonexistent archive I'v seen in 2 days ?

The issue seems to be resolved, after a while the updates started showing up on their own again. I'm assuming that the reply about the site being down is correct.
