    Lost Space After Kubuntu Uninstall

    Hi,

I tried installing kubuntu 9.10 on my Toshiba Satellite A135-S2266 running Vista. I installed Kubuntu using the option that says install on windows. After installation, when I booted in Kubuntu my keyboard and mouse were non functional (frustrating experience). Anyway, then I uninstalled Kubuntu (using Vista->Control Panal->Programs->Kubuntu->Uninstall).

The un-install was successful, except that the 7GB that kubuntu initially asked for installation are gone. I am quite low on my disk space and will appreciate if you can help me recover my lost space. (The lost space is not due to any un-deleted file, including ISO image, in Recycle bin.)

    Thanks.

The actual file that comprised the Kubuntu installation 'inside of Windows' is still present on your Windows system. It needs to be deleted if you want the 'space' recovered.

      Thanks for the tip Snowhog,

The issue was the cached driver summary in "My Computer". It got fixed after I deleted few more files.

I am still struggling with keyboard and touchpad (mouse) not working
