    from ubuntu to kubuntu

    i have ubuntu on my computer and i just installed the kubuntu desktop, but everything still looks like gnome stuff, do i uninstall the ubuntu desktop? or what.

    You should be able to change to a KDE session type from gdm (I'm afraid I can't be much more specific since I installed kubuntu to start with, so have kdm and automatic use of KDE).

      No you don't uninstall Ubuntu.

      When you sign in, unless you have activated automatic/passwordless sign in, you will see a sign on the left which says "Menu". Click on that. Then, I think, it says something like "Setup Type". Click on that. It should then offer different kinds of Desktops. Chose KDE ( instead of Gnome)
