Keyboard and mouse Frozen

Hi all,

I am new to linux (1 year now) and suddenly I encountered a problem with keyboard and mouse.
While booting (running X) they freeze. In console they work properly.
I'm really lost.
Any suggestions.

Not a lot to go on here. First, what version of Kubuntu are you running? Second, what are the specifications of your PC? Third, what type of keyboard and mouse, meaning, how are they connected: ps2, USB, ... Fourth, what did you do before they stopped working - install/remove package(s), dist-upgrade, ...
