[Solved] Mouse issue that's driving me nuts

I have a logitech mx revolution mouse. The button under the scroll wheel always opens up Konqueror.

I installed Btnx so I could reconfigure the button to mimic an ALT+F2

The problem now is I get an ALT+F2 (search dialog) and Konqueror as well (Konqueror starts with the homepage pointing to http://www.google.de as well for some strange reason - default is kubuntu.org). I can't find what is causing Konqueror to launch as well. Any ideas?

I tried uninstalling Konqueror and then found out it was launching firefox. Whatever is listening for that mouse event is launching a browser or URL.

    Thanks

It appears that Btnx hasn't been updated to run on Kubuntu past version 8.04 (Hardy). That said, have you checked the btnx: Send keyboard and mouse combination events with mouse buttons thread on Ubuntuforums?

I killed the btnx process and Konqueror is still launching. There must be some other application

Solved it. This thread here pointed me in the right direction:
