Can't write when konsole asks for password ([sudo] password for myname:)

    Greetings!

I have problems with my ATI card (I can't set the resolution to 1920x1080) so I need to get an ati driver.
    (I have HD3650)

But when I use sudo commands konsole asks for my password but it doesn't allow me to type . I would like to enter my password but I can't.
    Example:
myname@myname-desktop:~$ I can write but whe it comes to
[sudo] password for myname: I CAN'T WRITE
(and cannot even right click on the tab)

    try to help me pls

Thanks for your time and attention

YES you can. When you are typing your password, you don't see anything. That is by design. Just type in your password and press enter.
