    [solved] How to make a folder on my desktop

    I want to make a folder on my desktop but right click has no option for this?
    Linux beautiful to watch!<br />Kubuntu 10.4 with Canon MX310 in Samba network with Windows XP &amp; 7

    Which flavour of Kubuntu are you running?

    With 9.04 (KDE 4.x) i think you select Appearance and then set the set the desktop to Folder view.

      or if it's kde4 you can use the quickaccess browser next to the applications launcher
      click quickaccess browser then desktop, then put your mouse over the folder address line and the option to open comes up. click that to access desktop folder through dolphin. create folder

        or, open Dolphin, browse to "Desktop", and there you'll find right-click working as you remember.

          Ok I'm deep ashamed . I made a folder but it didn't show on my desktop. I made a second still nothing so I wrote this. Than after setting my desktop to folder-view I saw suddenly all new folders behind my Firefox icon. So all folders I made were there but not visible on first look
