Ktorrent & Azureus

I have a little problem with both azureus and ktorrent.

Azureus keeps crashing after about 5 minutes
I cant update it either maybe cause its writeprotected but i dont know how to un write protect it


Ktorrent dosent even start

Does anyone know what to do??

Try opening a konsole window, typing 'ktorrent' into it and posting any error messages you get.

Hi, ktorrent keeps crashing for me also. It was working well yesterday but then the crashes started. I did re-start but the time it stayed running kept getting shorter. Eventually i ran it like this: # while true ; do ktorrent ; sleep 30 ; done - but could not get much downloaded.
From what i could see there was no error message, just some startup info, then ktorrent gui, then crash.

I did try "apt-get -b ktorrent" but there were a lot of missing dependencies. I also removed the package and re-installed but got the same crashing.

I installed qtorrent and it started to re-process the torrent but it failed with "File too large". I guess this could be why ktorrent is failing also. The torrent I'm trying to download is the Fedora Core 5 dvd iso which is around 3.1Gb.
