    Automatic update

    Hi

    Since my upgrade to 9.04, the update icon doesn't apear automaticaly. I have to open Kpackage and do a check for updates.
    How to enable this to alert me of the updates??

    Thanks

    K > Applications > System > Software Management (KPackageKit)
    =>
    KPackageKit > Settings > Edit Software Sources
    =>
    Software Sources > Updates -> Automatic updates

    What do you have at the "Check for updates" ?

    Daily / Every two days / Weekly / Every fortnight ?

      Hi

      I have check for updates Daily and Only Notify about available updates.
      Is this correct?

        Re: Automatic update

        I think so. Do you have packages:

        update-notifier-kde
        An applet to show a systray icon when apt has software updates to be
        installed, when Apport has crash reports, for reboot notification and
        for upgrade hook messages.
        and

        update-manager-kde
        Support modules for update-notifier-kde to check for new distro releases and download the
        dist-upgrade tool.
