My password doesn't work for "su" on the command line...do I have to set up the root account and how so....?

You don't use "su" on the command line. To do root stuff you use "sudo".Originally posted by Davida

sudo su
and enter your account password. Your prompt line will show you are root.

Well, for much work that I do full access to SuperUser login is mandatory...I usually set in gui before in OS...Thanks got the terminal commands to create passwrd for Root...
