    PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME SOMEBODY

Hey hows it going , thank you for reading my post.

I just downloaded Kubuntu , to my computer , and when I try loading it , the screen turns Black. I have a Emachines T6426 2.2 GHz 3400+ Processor Amd Athlon 64 , with a Ati Radaeon 1300X Graphics Card.
    I downloaded the 32 bit version .

Someone told me to run sudo nano /etc/c11/xorg.conf

but when i go in there Its fully blank

and he told me to put

    Section "Device"
    Identifier "Configured Video Card"
    Driver "vesa"
    BusID "PCI:1:0:0"
    EndSection

but after I add that , and try to Ctrl X+y to safe it wont let me save this.

and When I try to log in on the terminal it lets me type my login , and when it goes to password it wont let me type anything.

Can someone please help me , and give me tips im dieing here , I use Kubuntu on my friends laptop , and I love it. I really want this to work.

        1) Linux is case sensitive! When the address is lower case, use lower case. When the address has capitals, uses capitals.

        Use the command:
        kdesudo kate /etc/X11/xorg.conf
        It's X11(CAPITAL X) not c11.

        Change it, save and exit.

        2)
When I try to log in on the terminal it lets me type my login , and when it goes to password it wont let me type anything.
The password doesn't show for security reasons. When necessary just type it and hit enter...
