The first beta for Intrepid is approaching fast, and I am considering installing it on a seperate partition. This, of course, means I have to create the partition. Does anybody have any great links on how to do this safely on a harddisk with a working system on it? I have previously partitioned a harddisk for my wife, but had the advantage of not having to keep anything of the disk's contents.
How big would I need to make the partition for Intrepid? Will it be easier to make a seperate home partition when i dont need to copy an existing home directory into it?
What is the best way to do this, really?
Edit: I have the Gparted live cd ready, and it is working. It's what I used on my wife's HD.
