    changed my internal drive from cdrom to cdrw/dvdrom and can't enable the drive

    i am running hardy heron kubuntu, and changed my internal drive from cdrom to cdrw/dvdrom and can't enable the drive. i get error message 32 when i try to enable the drive. i don't know what to do next.

    It's been so long since I worked on this, but you might want to check the "switch positions" on the new drive vs the one removed.
