usb phone for Skype

I have a usb phone (simplyphone bought from the Skype store) and can't configure it to work correctly with Skype. I'm unable to record a test message when I phone the call testing service, although I can hear the Skype recorded message on the phone.

Does anyone have any ideas?

In System Settings goto Sounds & Multimedia. Goto Sound-system > Hardware and enable Full Duplex.

That fixed the "can hear echo123 but not record" problem for me usually.
