    Dolphin in 8.04? Not a gripe but

    Man is that a different file manager. What I liked about Konqueror was you could have your folder structure on the left and the files you wanted to drag and drop on the right.

    You can still do that in Dolphin but it's just a little more convoluted to get there.

    However a really NICE feature with Dolphin is the ability to directly edit a file as Root by launching that in the right hand pane.

    I guess it's going to depend on what I want to do - transfer files or search and edit.

    I would like d3lphin to have tabbing I use tabs a lot in Konqueror.

      d3lphin is a poor excuse for a file manager, IMO. I didn't like it much either -- Konqueror or Krusader do a better job in KDE 3.5.9.

      However, in KDE 4.1 there is dolphin, which is far, far better. It's a very usable and functional file manager. So, you've got something to look forward to, when the time comes.
