Reading a thread here, conserning among other thing screen resolution, I decided to make my display make things a bit bigger. I entered System Settings->monitor and display, and turned resolution down one notch. So far, so good. I can now read the screen while leaning back and putting my feet on the table.
This morning, however, when I turn on my computer, things are different. Everything is huge! I enter the displaysettings manager, to turn up resolution again, but no can do. Resolution is set on 640x480, with no option to change it. I log out of my 3.5.9 session, and into 4.1. Settings-manager here is different, but still no option to change resolution. The current resolution is set as auto. So I wonder; "Is my graphics shot, or something?" I reboot into a live-cd. Resolution is at max, as it should be, so graphics work.
Rebooting yet again, I still cannot find a way to increase resolution. What the heck is going on here, and how do I fix it?
