Hi all,
Last night i installed the latest Kubuntu and I have never ever used linux before. I wanted to try something different from windows and after reading that Kubuntu is very easy to use for beginners, i installed it. I managed to install everything cleanly from the disc, but my wireless USB adapter isnt being detected. I didnt plug it in during installation as I though maybe i would plug it in after the installation and it would work just fine.. but it didn't even detect that i plugged it in
I dont have programming experience and i managed to download the drivers from http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/...eyword=RTL8187
but now I have no clue as to how to install them. Im used to windows where you just click on the setup file and it does it for you, why cant it be just as simple with Kubuntu?! Can someone please guide me? I would also like to install Kubuntu on my IBM Thinkpad, but im afraid to have no internet access at all then. I really want to make a switch from Windows, help me please!
