Unable to Play DVDS

sudo apt-get install libdvdcss2

Hello,
I will start by saying I am a newbie and have no idea where to start. I installed kubuntu on my Toshiba laptop the other day, but I am having trouble playing any DVDs. I was able to install vlc, but when I tried to open any disc's I get the following error

Unable to open 'media:/hdc'

I ran into this problem tonight as well with Kaffine however this fixed my problem
