Adept manager don't let me install/unistall or upgrade

Hi, I'm having trouble with adept manager, I rather use Synaptic but adept won't let me uninstall or install anything. I can't even download updates.
when I try to use it, appears that an other process is using adept's data base.
Any suggestions??

Close adept.

Open a Konsole window.

sudo dpkg --configure -a

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install

sudo apt-get autoclean
