first let see if you have it installed. Press Alt-F2. In the run line type kmail. Click run. If that runs kmail, then it is installed. It is usually bound with another application I can't remember right off. When I was using kmail, I created my own menu item.

kmail can be started by running 'kontact'

K-menu > Office > Kontact Personal Information Manager

Kontact is a program that runs kmail, kaddressbook, kalendar and others within one program.

None that I can think of. Fairly straight forward and very similar to other e-mail clients I've set before.
