Konqueror toolbars missing..

Hey guys, ever since i reinstalled Kubuntu late last year, Konqueror has been missing the address bar and associated buttons have been missing.

The only workaround i have found is to sudo/kdesu Konqueror, but that obviously leaves my file system open to myself to break. so it is not a ideal situation.

I have tried checking the 'location bar' in Settings>Toolbar but that makes no difference and also it's always unchecked when i restart Konqueror.

does anybody have any idea what is going on? as i want to use Konqueror as my default browser rather than Firefox.

Re: Konqueror toolbars missing..

Open your 'home' directory using dolphin.
Select "Show Hidden Files" from the menu.
Goto '.kde' directory then 'share' then 'apps'.

Locate the 'konqueror' directory and right click to rename it to 'konqueror_bak'.

Try again to load konqueror and see if the problem still exists.
