    install help

ok, so ive never installed an os before and i cant seem to get the install dvd to work. i am trying to install kubuntu 6.06 (Dapper Drake) on my laptop. ( 2.4 dual core, 2 GB ram,100 gb hard drive.) it is currently running XP professional, and i would like to run a dual boot. i downloaded the DVD iso from this site and burned the iso to a dual layer dvd then loaded the dvd into the drive. i rebooted and went to the os choise menu and the only thing there was windows. the disk drive was spinning but it did not come up as an option. what did i do wrong nd what should i do? thanks for your help

    Re: install help

You have to tell the BIOS to boot from the CD/DVD drive. Depending on the maker of the laptop. Do a google search for your laptop on how to boot with the CD drive.
