    installing fonts

Want to install some new fonts - specifically MICR.

It is avaiable as ttf, afm, otf, pfa, pfb, pfm, and raw.

I know that ttf is true type font, but have no idea what the others are.

In looking for the font installer under 7.10, I could not find it anywhere.

Tried synaptic and couldn't find a font installer there either.

How do you install fonts under Kubuntu 7.10?

I know it has to be very simple. I used FC 5 previously and it was extremely simple there. I imagine it hasn't gotten any harder.

Go to KMenu --> System Settings --> Appearance and go to Font Installer. Click on Add Fonts.

Thanks - I knew it had to be something simple. Funny I thought I had looked in all of the settings in "System Settings", but Iguess not.

      Thanks again,
      Terry
