Ok, I have DLINK airplus G, and it seems to see the networks availible but doesn't connect even to those that are open, I have the CD of installation and could try the nwrapper way I suppose but really I am looking for the plug in or whatever, thanks.

I've been called a sonuva*, but never a Son of York, so no glorious summer, here. Especially since Airplus G is a product line rather than a model (which has a number). A search on "Dlink" on the Ubuntu Community Help Wiki showed information for the G650+ and the DWL-G122. From these pages I think that you're going to need ndiswrapper. -

thanks, I will give model details next as I am not home but what is the idea and proceedure here, ndiswrapper is an emulator for windows I believe, and how do I install it please, thanksevery day is a giftComment
