kde crash - data gathering like xp?

Hi

Can anybody tell me if KDE now gets crash information using the same type of thing as microsoft. send report?

just that ive been on kde for around six months, just moved to kubuntu and my kde just did this. Is that new? Is it KDE? or another package thats doing it?

Other than Mickeysoft, (K)Ubuntu offers the choice of "sending or trashing" any bug report.

If you still feel uncomfortable with this feature (?), you could simply remove the "collector":

sudo apt-get --purge remove apport
