    Kdevelop Configuration Woes.

    I am attempting to use Kdevelop to complete some simple C++ programs for school. I am using Kdevelop as my IDE.

    I keep getting error 77 when attempting to build:

    "C++ compiler cannot create executables"

    I have already done the build-essential. This does not change things.

    I am required to use a graphical IDE for my programming in the class, I also do not want to set up an emulator to run VS.

    This is done using Kubuntu 7.04.

    Is it possible that the source code I am using is causing this error to be thrown?

    I am not a programmer, so I am very frustrated with this, I just want to be finished with this class

    config.log below:

    This file contains any messages produced by compilers while
    running configure, to aid debugging if configure makes a mistake.

    It was created by configure, which was
    generated by GNU Autoconf 2.61. Invocation command line was

    $ /home/loki/Lab01/configure

    Re: Kdevelop Configuration Woes.

    I'm confused. You seem to be running under Linux, but you seem to be generating an M$ exe file, which, of course, can't run under Kubuntu Linux (see line configure:2514 et seq. and especially, configure: 2628 and what follows there.

      indeed. that seems to be the problem.

      compiling adn running a *.exe wont work under linux ofc, try just to compile it, and then transfer it to a M$ system for testing.

        Re: Kdevelop Configuration Woes.

        I'm not sure that the o.p. actually wrote the configure file that he ran. I suspect that he used a config file supplied by his prof (or t.a.) which was written under the assumption that everyone would do their assignments on a windoze machine. You'll note that gcc told him that the cross-compile switch was omitted.
