    How do I hide folders?

I know that some system files are set to be hidden, how can I hide user files under my home directory?

You can hide them with this program although maybe someone will come up with an easier solution I think this is pretty good to keep stuff from prying eyes

Rename them with a dot in front of the name?

      /home/jbaebock/nothiddenfile

      /home/jbaebock/.hiddenfile

Putting a dot infront of the name worked perfectly thanks!

That only works if you don't have "show hidden files" clicked... Not sure why you're trying to hide files, but if it's important you might take that into consideration.

Just getting some folders/files out of my way, if I want them i can just make hidden folders visible. The dot method works perfectly.
