Fun with Dolphin - share your Service Menus, tips and tricks!

IMO Dolphin is by far the best file manager I have ever used. Simple interface, lots of configuration options, easily customizable. I've been using computers so long my original fav file manager was Xtree Pro - back when GUIs were a new thing!

I thought it might be interesting to share what we have done to make Dolphin fit our personal work flows. Tips, tricks, service menus, something else?

    My tips:
Label all your file systems: Then they show up in "Devices" with the label rather than device name. Same for removable device's file systems. Then they show up with names in the "Removable Devices" section.
Set "Places" for folders you visit often: For example, I often take screenshots for posting or sharing. I have added my "Screenshot" folder that's under Photos so I can grab a screenie more quickly. I have also set a "Root" ( / ) place so I can jump to my install folder.
Add function to your tool bar: I like to have easy access to "Delete" rather than just "Move to Trash" so I added it to the main toolbar. I also added "Up" - as in "navigate up one folder", and I use it often.
Rearrange the toolbar so it makes sense and works better for you. For example, the navigation arrows - Back, Forward, and Up - make more sense to me if they are arranged in this order: Back Up Forward.

    My service menus:
Move up one directory: I wrote this one, This lets me move a file up one level without have to drag and drop or issue a move command. I use this more than you can imagine.
Manage Subvolumes: Another one of my creations. Activates if I right-click on a folder and lets me, snapshot, delete, change RO status, "send", or just get info about a BTRFS subvolume.
Several others I have added do things like audio/video conversion and extract subtitles from MKV. In the past I had a "get checksum" service menu but Dolphin does that natively now so I deleted my own.
