    Libre Office 6

I don't know exactly where to put this thread, as it's just an observation. I have recently installed Libre Office 6 on Neon/Kubuntu hybrid and on VM Kubuntu 18.04 using two different methods with two different results. In Kubuntu 18.04, I used the system update and got the latest version of LO with the usual traditional look. However, with Neon, I used the website download and got the new Microsoft-like ribbon format. I gather that the latter is the new preferred LO format, while the other is formatted for KDE and should please those who hate the MS Word format. Just to let you know.

I think the ribbon aka "Notebook bar" is available after enabling "experimental features" in Tools > Options > LibreOffice > Advanced and restarting when using LibreOffice installed from the repos. I just tried it and went back to the regular toolbar
    Kubuntu 20.04

LibreOffice offers an AppImage for their latest 6 version. One without help and one with. It works great on Neon. I just made the AppImage executable and added it to the KDE menu after purging LibreOffice 5 from my system.

For those who play with this setting: Note that once the "Notebook Bar" is enabled, to return to the default look, you may have to click on the menu button on the far right of the "ribbon" - it looks like three horizontal bars - and select "Menubar" there. This will re-display the top menu items so you can return to the Default look via View> Toolbar Layout. I couldn't find nay other way to revert to the standard look.
