How to display and print all directories and subdirectories?

I have a directory that has all of my pdf files. Within this directories is several subdirectories also filled with pdf's.

Is there a way to print out the contents of each directory all at once, so I can copy and paste the results into a document?

Or just somehow direct the results to a .txt file or something?

I can display the contents of each directory, but I don't want to have to do it for each directory. I'd prefer to type something at the top and just run through the whole thing.

    Code:
    l -R --format=single-column >mydocs.txt
Edit: maybe easier to copy a single column output.
