Glad to have helped you. I tried it one time when I had the same trouble and it worked well as well.

This is what worked for me... same as a couple of you.
Navigate to /etc/apt/sources.list and open sources.list with kate, then edit it with:
sudo kate /etc/apt/sources.list
Select "Edit | Replace" from toolbar - type "oneiric" in the "find" box, then type "precise" in the replace box. Proceed to replace all instances of oneiric with precise. Save file.
REBOOT
From terminal do a:
sudo apt-get update
THEN... follow the standard upgrading to RC2 instructions. From the terminal type:
kubuntu-devel-release-upgrade
I am currently upgrading as I type (well... downloading the upgrades).
NOTHING ELSE WORKED FOR ME.
I hope this helps others who are experiencing the "No upgrade available" message.
I'm not certain when my last FULL CLEAN install was........ but I think since 12.04 is LTS, I'll douche the system and start from scratch a week or two after official release. From my experience, those first couple weeks, gives those with more time, the opportunity to bang out all the BIG kinks (wifi issues, display, etc.) This way, I get to play a little bit with 12.04 before completely washing my machines.
Good luck.Last edited by Linux Lurker; Apr 10, 2012, 02:57 PM.
