[SOLVED]Genius Comfy KB-12e keyboard and KDE shortcuts

Hi,

I have this keyboard model and corresponding driver for it all setup in Settings and enjoying Kubuntu Oneiric in my native language.

The problem is, as an avid keyboard user, I cannot use almost none of the KDE shortcuts or asign keyboard keys to run apps i.e. Ctrl+Alt+Del combo doesn't bring shutdown dialog on my machine, Ctrl+Alt+K doesn't switch keyboard layout etc...

Any thoughts how this problem can be circumvented if possible?

I guess the driver must be faulty.
