I have heard the rumor that this happening or going to happen sometime soon? I would like to just use one web browser but Konqueror just runs a little and clunky for me..... but I LOVVVVVVE everything else about KDE..

Have you tried Rekonq? It's a webkit-based KDE browser. Not quite as far along as Chrome, but it's just as fast and has the added benefit of integrating with your desktop (theme, bookmarks, etc.). -

No.
You can still load, use and save your own profiles, or use the "File Management", "Midnight Commander" or other pre-installed profiles. You can pretty much set up Konqueror to do about anything YOU have the ability to do.
